As the title says, I have a 90 TA with a 94 LT1/700r4 in it and I need to know what I need to do to make it shift right??? I traded for the car with the LT1 installed already and it runs fine....it just doesnt shift right. The trans is new and shifts firm....it just wont shift into second until close to 3500 RPMs at part throttle, wont shift into overdrive at all, and when you come to a stop unless you pull it down into 1st it will only shift down to 2nd. I know the obviouse answer is adjust the TV cable....well thats how I got it to shift at 3500 instead of 5500 like it was when I got it. In fact when I got it it had the TPI throttle bracket and TV cable on it, so I got the correct 93 LT1 parts and installed them. It helped but its still not right....and after countless attempts at adjusting it I think the route of my problem lies somewhere else. So what else do I need to do? Is the 93 throttle body needed/required???

BTW in the LT1 SWAP FAQ stickey post above it had a article "what is needed to make a 94-up LT1 work with a 700r4", but the link to its dead. I am sure the info I am looking for would have been there....but since its no longer there PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT!

Did you ever get it running correctly I'm doing the same swap just a 97 LT1 can help with how does your 700r4 run and what did you do ?
