Knock sensor question--

I did a search and didnt find a definate answer regarding what Knock sensor would work for my application...so i will see what the GURU's have to say...

Anyways I am finishing off my 305 to 350 swap and the question of which Knock sensor to use crops up. The new 350 has a haudralic Flat Tappet Cam..so I understand I need a specific Knock sensor specific for a 350 with a Haudraulic Flat Tappet cam....so which P/N or even Model/year knock sensor should I use?

Thanks in advance!
Dave

Re: Knock sensor question--

An L98 knock sensor should work.

Re: Knock sensor question--

Thanks man,

But I have heard that the roller cam's vs hyd flat tappet need diffent types of knock sensors because one is much more "agressive" than the other.

I believe the L98 is a roller cam....any ideas on what I should use with a Hyd Flat tappet?

Thanks guys,
Dave

Shouldn't make any difference.

Not true.

I have heard that knock sensors and solid lifters don't play well together. But, there's nothing about flat tappet hydraulic lifters that would upset a knock sensor.
