i was woundering if any one knew were i can get different mounting brackets for a 1993 4.3L v6 for the A/C compressor. sence it came out of a van every thing is compacted up werds. or if there is a way to eliminate the A/C compressor and reroute the sepintine belt? cause i do not have the rest of the A/C componets in my car so i dont need it. thanks for you help!

 

ditch all of the front accessory drive.

Your 4.3 heads are drilled the same as the 305 and 350's were. You need to use the brackets and accessories from an 82-92 Camaro or Firebird V8. You will find one in the junkyard, don't worry!

This will allow everything to just bolt on. No modification headaches. Don't use anything from the 4.3, especially van stuff. Just use small block chevy 82-92 Camaro and Firebird stuff and you won't have any headaches. I would even change the oil filter adapter on the block and use the regular block mount oil filter as well,
