I need the TGO experience...
i am doing engine research on what will fit to see my options on direct bolt it for an upgrade to a 350 from my 305tpi. i dont want carbed or tbi. i like the look and response from my tpi... but i want more. i found this and wondered if any one thought it would fit and if mods were nessacery. i greatly appreciate any opinion in this matter. also i have a brand new Jasper 700r4 not even 1000 miles old in this beasty and i will need to know if the engines would bolt to that ... adapter kit... tranny also called 4L60.
this is one of my finds...

Those are LS1 & LS2 engines. Not even close in any way to a bolt-in. Especially if you want to keep TPI.
More like the "4th gen experience".

Man, you should reconsider the carbed route. A ZZ4 or ZZ383 crate engine from Summit would give you plenty of power. Just get an Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold with a decent Holley carb and a killer exhaust and you can't go wrong. Plus, the engine would cost less than half of the ones you listed above.
OR
Buy or build a decent 350 short block and install your REBUILT 305 heads on it. Use 1.94 intake valves and 1.60 exhaust valves with screw-in rocker studs. Also a good cam.
Just my 2 cents.
