Roller cam distributor on flat tappet motor?

Transmission: T56, 700R4, 700R4
Axle/Gears: 4.10 10 bolt, 2.73 10 bolts
Roller cam distributor on flat tappet motor?
Swapping an LB9 305 from an 86 T/A into by LB9 305 91 T/A, and reusing my distributor from the 91...am I going to have any problems using the (bronze) roller cam distributor on a flat tappet engine?

The stock LB9 distributor gear isn't bronze. It's melonized, the GM name for some sort of treatment, but it ain't bronze.
It will be fine on a standard flat-tappet cam.
