i have a friend of mine, he has a 79 chevy 350 4 bolt main out of a pickup truck. he said engine has roughly 75K on it, and doesnt need a rebuild. 75 bucks seems like a steal. however, i have a tbi 305 in my 89 camaro. i would like to build this 79 engine as a TBI computer controlled engine. i understand that would require that i purchase larger fuel injectors, different fuel pump, and a different prom chip. i think i could do this on the extremely cheap, few hundred bucks. the only question i have is everything compatible? heads, manifold, sensor locations, ect. what kind of problems might i run into and how would i work around them?

 

Everything will swap over, except the dipstick and the flywheel/flexplate.
