305 tbi to 383 carb
I just bought a 383 to do a swap for my tbi 305. The 383 is a carburated engine and doesn't need the computer and electric fuel pump. I just wanna know how difficult it would be to do the swap. The 383 is a complete engine, ignition, fuel pump, alternator, oil pump, radiator, 750 cfm carb. The engine ran great in the donor car, but i don't know much about bypassing all the computer stuff the car currently uses. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

There is a tech article linked from the thirdgen.org homepage about converting from EFI to carb (the link is also in the "read me" sticky at the top of the Carburetor forum).

The tach is electronic.
The speedometer varied. If there is a cable going from your transmission tailshaft, it's mechanical. If wires, it's electronic.
