No Swap just Stroke

Ok So I purchased myself a little toy, I have a 1998 Crown Vic former CT state police and now that its a supped up daily driver I wanted a toy. Its a 1989 Camaro IROC (350 TPI Just in case you didnt know). My plan is for a 383 stroker out of my original block, backed by a TCI 700R4 streetfighter, already has suspension work needed for a bigger engine (-cage) and a 1,900 3" custom bent borla exhause with headers... This Car is immaculate and fast BUT i want a little better... I was looking at "CHEVY HIGH PERFORMANCE" Budget build of just such a motor, I dont know if i should start with my block to retain value, or go to a crate... The budget build was dynoed at 430HP 475FTILBS and thats perfect for a street strip, and then after theres always superchargers and NOS, just looking for pointers, comments, or someone to tell me that this is the dumbest idea they have heard of... Take it easy on me this is my first muscle car... And im a firefighter and aspiring police officer so dont worry about holding back the real power getters cause your afraid im going to hurt myself.

Re: No Swap just Stroke

I Was thinking the 750 because I dont know alot about the TPI BUT the engine they did it on they started with just a block so maybe they didnt use the TPI because of $$$?

They didn't use the TPI because of $'s and power. That may be a 375 horse engine with about $2k worth of TPI upgrades.
