tbi-carb wiring?!how do i modify my stock harness?!!
hey everybody. im switching from tbi-carb. i've eliminated my ecm, now have an external fuel pump, and i want to keep all my stock gauges(if possible) ive searched on tgo but i cant seem to find a strait forward answer. i was wonderign if anybody knew how to modify my stock harness to make it work with my set-up. i want to eliminate all unessasary wires to keep a clean looking engine bay. are they any companys that i can send my harness out to and tellt hem what i want and they will modify for me? or does anybody know of soembody from TGO that doesthis kind of work?? well any information is appreciated! thnks!

Hook up everything you need - ignition power and tach wire, oil pressure, engine temp, alternator, starter, etc.
Now, take out the passenger side fender liner and disconnect the pass-through harness connector that you see toward the back of the fender, going through to the passenger compartment. After you disconnect it, pull it out from under the hood, and unbolt/unhook everything attached to it. You may have to separate out some of the Paragraph 1 wires from that bundle, but everything you need goes somewhere else, and what you don't need comes out with that bundle.
It has been explained many, many times. But, there you have it one more time.

Re: tbi-carb wiring?!how do i modify my stock harness?!!
I just left my harness intact for the most part. Not sure I'll leave ALL that mess under the hood forever, but that's where I'm at now (a year after my swap). I've found it convenient to leave it there for the moment, as I've been using the wires for various things like a new fan controller, foglights, etc. It's been very convenient to not have to run a new wire through the firewall every time I need one from the hood to the cockpit. On the larger things, I use relays, that way I can utilize the existing small ECM wires to just power up a relay under the hood (as in the case for foglights).
