hi i am new here i have a 90 formula ws6 aero and i have a 305 tbi in there now but its not in such good shape so i found a ram jet 350 pfi with a MEIF4 and harnesse and i was wondering if anyone here has swaped them b4 and form wht i read the MEIF 4 is smog legal so i will pass emsions wiht it but i want to knwo if anyoen knoes what i would need to do the swap if i need to reprogram my computer or not that kind a stuff

It's been swapped into 3rd gens before. Search this and the Tech/General Engine forum for "Ram Jet" and you'll see.

The control system that comes with it is open loop, there is no EGR, and the system has never been certified for any particular chassis, so it is not emissions legal. At least one member reported some time ago using a TPI computer to control one, which makes it closed loop and it will run clean enough to pass sniffer most likely, but still no EGR for the visual inspection.

You may be able to sneak it by your emissions inspector, but you're taking a crap shoot.
