New engine build up
Hello all, I am in the process of speaking with a rep at an engine building shop. My original plan was to build a Supercharged 406 sbc for the street. The rep is almost got me convinced to go for a 421. Are there any major reliability issues I will face by going with more cubes? I know everyone is going to say go with mroe cubes but I dont want to loos realiability for just a bit more power. Here are the specs of the motor I am looking into for now:
Dart Little M 400 Block 3.875 in. stroke with 6 in. rods.
4 bolt steel mains and 1-pc rear main seal
64 cc head - AFR 195 Eliminator to get 8.5:1 CR
Internally balanced Eagle forged crank, 4340 H beam rods, forged pistons, Total Seal Gapless rings, ARP fasteners, Felpro gaskets, Cloyes timing set, Melling oiling system
Holley steath ram - probably commander 950 MPFI system
Custom grind cam - dont know much about cams so i have got some research to do here.
D1SC Procharger
What do you guys think of this so far? I know it will make more power than I will ever need but I want it to be as strong as possible for as much reliability as I can get out of this motor. It will be street driven only probably 2-3 times a week when the weather is nice.
Anyone with experience with cams - I'd like to hear opinions on a custom grind cam if you got some knowledge to share.
Thanks everyone.

Re: New engine build up
I'd really like to hear from some people on this setup and also hear about peoples experiences with something similar or with other setups with as much power. For a street driven car I'd like to be able to drive this car around without too much to worry about.
Again, all help is appreciated.

I'm afraid I have to recuse myself at the mention of "Procharger". What you're doing sounds good, but I can't say for sure because I'm not power-adder-literate.
