what happen to keeping the original equipment in the car.30 years from now there are going to be people restoring these same cars that we are going out and putting these great big motors in. and the only thing they are going to find is cut up bodies with lsx, and 350s that have been so modded that they will be good for nothing. making the camaro a past car that we can all just sit around and say "yeah i had one before, but i did ........" i say lets keep these cars as original as possible and if you really want to change out that motor keep the original in the garage covered up so that when it is time to get rid of that car you can put the original equipment back in. i for one love going to car shows and seeing the older cars that have all original equipment down to the air conditioning.... thats cool to me. and something to that i dont understand is why buy a 305 car if your only going to drop a 350 in anyways.... look for that 350 car. in the end it will save you money.. sorry for all the ranting but i have gone back and forth with what to do to my car, but i would like to keep it mostly original... atleast keeping the 305 block anyways. there may not be any value in it right now by keeping the original motor but in 30 years when you cant find the original equipment that is where the value will be!
