Help, Engine dies?
Help, Engine dies?
I swapped a 305 TPI into a new car, finally have it running but theres a problem, when you hit the gas it bogs out and dies or just wont raise the RPMs.
Now, hitting the gas slow til it reaches abut 2000RPMs it will be responsive, but from idle it bogs. Also when I go to drive it, theres no power and the RPMs wont reach beyond 2000.
Idles smooth, no backfire unless you rev it high(which could just be the exhaust which is cut a foot past the headers) I also have an MSD ignition box.
Is this a fuel pressure problem or something else maybe?

Coil and wires are brand new... It wont even stay running now, just starts up and dies immediately. Sounds like something shorts out though after it dies? But i cant see any sparks.....

I had that same issue, after pretty much changing all wires and spark plugs and blah blah, it ended up being a bad Mass Air Flow Sensor, unplug it and see what happens, your computer should set to default and run
