i eventually want to replace my 305 tbi with a "healthy"(325+hp/tq) carbed 350. what year/model vehicles sould i be looking for donor engines from? like which engines are best for my application? thanks alot

If you're rebuilding it, it doesn't matter so much. 350 blocks are essentially all the same and condition is more important than what it came out of. Best would be an 87+ roller block so that you could use a factory roller setup and all your existing bits and pieces, but there's nothing stopping you from using an older engine.
