Re: Finished 350 build picture

The engine is a 2 bolt main 30 over. A set of aluminum cylinder heads 190cc with a 64 combustion chamber. Cam has a lsa of 110 and the lift is 508 intake and 512 exhaust. Performer intake, roller rockers, nice set of forged srp flat top pistons makeing around 10.5 to 1 compression. cast rods and crank. Im shooting to make aroung 360-370 hp.

That's the first time I've seen a 12 o'clock bolt-on timing tab.

Re: Finished 350 build picture

How do you actually time it with the timing tab at the 12:00 position.. With it at the 2:00 I fully understand it.. What would you have to do different to the crank to put your timing tab there? I do know that it would be harder to time as the waterpump would be sitting directly over where you need to look.

Many SBC's in the late-70's to mid-80's had the timing tab at 12 o'clock. I've seen it as early as '78 and as late as '86.

The only difference is the mark on the harmonic damper.

Re: Finished 350 build picture

I noticed the 12:00 timing tab right away as well. Where did you get it? I could really use one of those.

The engine looks great. Nice work.
