yes it will bolt right in place. Only issues may be accessory bolt holes in the heads.
And its "Camaro" not "Camero"

lol, and unless your getting it very cheap...there are more benefits to try and look for a newer motor (i.e. roller rockers, serpentine set-up, ect.)
but yes, it will bolt right in!!!

Re: swapping 305 for 350, and I have one question
I'm doing the same swap, LG4 to a rebuilt 350 with a mild cam.
If i get ~250 horse power it would be 100 H/P more than
my stock LG4 so that would make me happy without
breaking the stock 700R4 or rear end
The devil is in the details....
Here are the parts I'm wondering about;
Starter
water pump (long, short or stock 305?)
stock Q-jet
Oil pan (350 has a rear sump)
Also will shorty headers match up to the stock Y pipe?
Anything else I should be worried about?

Re: swapping 305 for 350, and I have one question
You'll need the starter for the flywheel - if you have the 350's flywheel, then use a 70's starter.
Get headers with a Y pipe included, or you'll have to pay someone to fab one.
Get water pump for the motor, not the car.
LG4 has a rear sump oil pan also.
Stock carb and distributor should move right onto new block.
Basically, you're just swapping long blocks - should be basic really. Those heads should have the same acc. holes (assuming they are 70's heads).
Regardless of the heads, the 350 will way outperform your 305, and heads and such can be upgraded later. There's no replacement for displacement!

Re: swapping 305 for 350, and I have one question
Thanks for the info!!!
I've been putting together a 350 as money allowed.
My 350 longblock has a Flexplate, but I haven't counted the teeth yet.
Starter still up in the air... I might just use the 305 flexplate so there are no worries about T/C bolting up...
I got the shortblock with a project truck a few years ago. Its a early 70's 4 bolt with a basic rebuild. 60 over with new pistons, bearings, seals. Block was line honed, decked bored and honed. Cast crank ETC...
I picked up some reman 350 , 1.94 intake heads (nothing special) for a good deal. They have the acc. holes.
I got to dig up the Cam Card. Best I remember its a mild Comp Cam. No worries I'll check for spring bind with stock valve springs before I install in the car.
I don't have a waterpump for it yet and there are long and short
versions. Which one will fit my stock pulleys?
I gave my Q-jet a fresh rebuild last week & I hope the jetting is close enough for the swap. Runs great on the LG4 now.
