TBI (LO3) to TPI (L98)
I want to do this swap sometime in the summer but since they are different methods of fuel injection how hard would this be? I would like to have an idea of what I am getting into before I actually do it. = )
Re: TBI (LO3) to TPI (L98)
im in the process of doing the same swap right now. i have a speed density tpi setup from a 91, and so far all i know is that you have to change the ecm, harness, fuel pump, and possibly the throttle cable? im not running ac or anything. im sure theres more that i havent found yet though. i plan on having it done by late this week, so ill let you know if theres anything else i did.

There is a basic tech article on this website, as well as several other threads going from other members who have done the swap.
Good luck! You'll enjoy the new found torque when you stomp on the pedal.

yeah!! i got her fired up today. first rotation of the crank and boom, runs like a top. it was a very straight forward swap. the worst thing was dropping the fuel tank to change the pump. ill post up some pics very soon. too bad it snowed like an s o b though! i wanna try her out.
