Bought brand new engine for my 88 z28. l69 high tech performance.

Hey guys, I just bought a L69 engine. Its standard 350 bore, new vortec heads crain cam roller rockers, roller cam edelbrock performer TBI intake shorty headman headders. My ? is has anybody had experience with this simular setup. Still learning on these kinda things. What kinda power would this make to the wheel? I am replacing the original lo3 it came with.Thanx for the help.

Nobody has experience with that kind of set-up, because it doesn't exist.

L69 is a 305, last year 1986, last effective year 1985. Monte Carlo's had it a little later; it wasn't quite the same as f-body L69's, but it was still a 305. Roller lifter cam set-ups didn't come out until 1987.

Vortec heads could have been added to most any SBC. Most places that are trying to put one over on you will sell you run-of-the-mill swirlports and call them "Vortec" - after all, they do have center bolt valve covers, and everybody knows Vortec heads have center bolt valve covers.

First thing I'd do is verify every piece of what you have by casting and/or part number.
