hey guys. I have a 87 fromula firebird with a 4BBL 305. The engine recently blew so I was planning on replacing it with a 350. My plans are to get a 350 from a junkyard(short block or long) and make it a carbuerated setup with some aftermarket performance parts. I plan on adding my own intake, headers, carb, etc. I also plan on doing away with the computer.(you know, go back to the old days) The problem i have is that i need to know what engines will bolt to my transmission. I believe its the 700r4. Any info on what engines i could use and from what vehicles they would come from would be greatly appreciated.

 

any gen1 chevy small block will bolt right to it
