just curious

ok so im about to do a build up of a carbed 350 and was wondering what i could expect from the vortecs on the 350 tpi in it now if i bolt them up (of course id do a valve job and springs for a bigger cam). the main reason i want to go carbed is well i hate wiring and my harness is all jacked up but surprisingly runs, rich but runs. im shooting for a 12 second car so it wont be too hard. but just wondering if i should use early model heads or would it bo worth it to use the vortec's? thanks.

It would be worth it to do the Vortecs.
