ok so there are two problems first:

it's stuck in defrost and I've read a couple of threads that say that this is the defualt position and that must be a vacuum line disconnected somewhere. is there any other way for it to be stuck in defrost because i'm pretty sure i connected all the vacuum lines but maybe not i suppose.

secondly, I only get cold air. I have the lever all the way up and no hot air. is this also a vacuum problem or is it something else. also I removed that plastic junction deal that had a heater hose from the firewall and a line off of the lower line that runs to the radiator, it also had a vacuum line running to that junction that i ran to a another vacuum line. what does that plastic deally bobber do anyway? must be some type of connuter valve, i dunno.
