350 swap mpg????
I am putting the 350 in my car soon and am kind of worried about my gas mileage since i have been hearing gas is going up to 4.50 this summer. The engine will have lunati voodoo cam (.468/.489 lift) ported and polished 305 heads(the 416's) with 3 angle valve job. performer intake, edelbrock 650 carb, and full exhaust. what could I expect to get for mileage driving conservatively?

In theory gas usage has a lot more to do with how much power you're making than displacement.
I you use a similar cam to what you have, then your gas mileage should stay very similar.

I had a VERY similar setup in a car with 4.11 gears in the rear and was getting between 7-10mpg with general around-the-town drivin, but it was only a 3 speed, no overdrive so you might get more with an OD.

Re: 350 swap mpg????
45mph and the 3.73s in the car it will be crappy because you'll be lugging the motor. If you're concerned about fuel milage, ditch the 305 and 5-speed, put out the money and get an LSx series motor (5.3, 5.7) and a 6-speed and you'll probably almost triple the milage (an LS1 putting 500 at the wheels can still get 30mpg with a 6-speed and 3.73 gears.)

Ditch the Edelbrock carb. Bad idea, both for performance and economy. Total waste of performance $'s.
Keep the stock carb. I typically get 18-20 combined MPG. It'll do better sustained highway, but it doesn't see much of that.
The only excuse for a different carb is manual tranny. Even then, the Edelbrock is the wrong choice - either double pumper, or keep the stock q-jet. If economy is a concern, the q-jet wins again.

Like 5-7 said, a double pumper will slaughter your gas mileage. This I know, as I've got one on my engine. I couldn't imagine daily driving my car. I use premium gas. I would run out of money.

Re: 350 swap mpg????
If you're worried about gas mileage you shouldnt be modifying your car with a bigger engine and more power. Sorry to be harsh.
I just dont care about it. Forget MPG, I want my MPH! For the record, I get 25+ miles per gallon on the highway, and about 15 in the city. But I have fuel injection, and I tune the computer myself.

yea, i would rather have a fast car then get 30 mpg, bein able to smoke all my friends with 4 cylinders makes it all worth while... but bad gas mileage does suck. lol
