zz383 with Stealth Ram Injection

I was wondering how much power can i expect out of a GM Preformance zz383 crate engine with the Stealth Ram injection kit ?
Anyone have a idea ?

the original dyno sheet says 425hp/449ft.lbs with a edelbroch 750 carb!

And off topic, how much power will my stock z28 rear end handle ?

It really depends. I have heard some people have no probs with 400 horse, but most break it at that point. I have a 383 putting out 470 horse and my 9 bolt still works great. I just bought a strange 12 bolt to replace the 9 bolt

You should be very close to those numbers. A bigger cam, would be nicer.....

In a perfectly set up car 400hp is pushing it for the rear. In most cases though, its not that. Its usually traction that kills the rear. If you cant hook, and spin it will take some more. Ive found the same with the t5s. Last a long time behind a strong engine, until the slicks come out.

Re: zz383 with Stealth Ram Injection

if that motor will make 425 with a carb, you shouldnt lose any with the HSR. I think i've seen 350-360whp with a HSR on top of a zz383

i dont think that motor has the cam to touch 500. The heads may not be enough either but you can get some serious power out of it as is. I think it needs a better cam tho

Re: zz383 with Stealth Ram Injection

I think the heads are enough for over 500. I think they flow 260 on the intake? Not great for a 210 runner, but good nonetheless. But I dont think you'll see 450 with the cam. Another upside to putting a larger cam in there, is that since you don't want to hook with that rear too well, a larger cam will put more power up top where you can use more of it.
