Swapping in a BBC- what motor mounts to use?
I am putting a 468 bbc in my 86 T/A and I am wondering if there is a special motor mount recommended for this swap? Or should I use standard sbc mounts or solid mounts? Just wondering, also what if any, kind of special trans crossmember do I need to run a TH400, what trans came in the car, a 700r4? If so will that crossmember work? I also have the Hooker super comp full length headers and was wondering will I need to use a BFH to get them to fit or are they pretty good fit wise? Thanks alot

Motor mounts - poly V8 mounts.
Crossmember - Spohn TH400 swap crossmember & torque arm that mounts to the crossmember.

Re: Swapping in a BBC- what motor mounts to use?
When I first did my swap, I just used normal GM rubber mounts. I eventually switched to solid mounts. The engine is held up be a front motor plate now.
The only real difference between BBC and SBC mounts is the height. Using SBC mounts on a BBC will raise the engine up slightly. I doubt you'll notice a difference.
Expect to spend at least a day getting the Hooker headers to fit. They are not a direct fit and some modifications will probably be required. They're the cheapest swap headers and the worst fitting.

Thanks for the info, could I just buy bbc motor mounts for any 2nd gen fbody or is there a special year/application? What headers would you recommend?
