305 to 350

I'm going to buy a 350, i know its from somewhere around the late 70s and the number on the block is 3970010, what all will i need to do this conversion? I have an 89 firebird with the 305 automatic. I would also like to get a manual transmission, what transmissions will bolt up to this?

This has been re-hashed many, many times. Your best bet is to use the "Search" function at the top of the page to see if that will help you find your information first. Also, the stickies at the top of this thread contain a wealth of information. Also, I would buy an 87 and newer block myself, to keep the car a roller motor. Less wear and tear and better cam profiles. Hope this helps!
