1st swap questions

The 87 formula we bought was swapped over from a305carb v8 to a carb'd v6 12 years ago.
I have a wrecked 88 formula with a good drivetrain..305 tbi with a 700r4 tranny. We don't want to use the engine because of the nicely built 350 we have.
The 350 has an edelbrock intake with a holley carb
2 questions.
1)since there are no accessories on the 350,can i mount them from the 305 to the 350 and have the serpentine drive belt? which ones will fit, which will not?

2)the factory harness from the wrecked 88,will i need both or just one from the drivers side?
thanks for any help, first attempt at swapping engines in a GM product.

Re: 1st swap questions

yes you can use the serpentine setup from your old motor and put on your 350. and if you have a carb on your 350 you wont need a engine harness. youll just need to leave the lights and interior wiring alone. the motor harness should just unplug and be able to pull out. you will however have to rewire your gauges.

thanks for the info.
i was thinking if i used the harness that has the wires for the gauges,i could modify them to work ith the senders on the 350.

Be aware that the serpentine set-up uses a reverse-rotation water pump.

The gages can use the same wires as before. Just mark what they are when you take things apart.
