GM Ram JEt 350

OK, so ive got A 1990 RS with a 305 TBI, and have been trying to find a new crate engine to swap it out with. What do you guys think about this motor, (ram jet 350)? would it be hard for me to switch over my TBI to accomodate it. What would i have to do

Or would it be easier just to switch it over to one of the carbed motors, like the 350 330 HO.

What do you guys think?

Re: GM Ram JEt 350

hey how about buying that universal 350, the truck engine that goes for about 1700, and putting new heads and a different cam in it. with that and headers and a good catback exhaust, i should get up to about 300 hp. that universal 350 is 200 hp out of the box. seems like a cheaper way to go. What do you guys think?

IF not that, give me some other options, can i buy a brand new L31 and make it work.

whada ya think

If you are gonna do that why not just find a short lock and buy the heads...no sense in buying new heads with an engine if you aint gonna use them...but thats just me...
I never heard anything bad about the Ram Jet 350...it looks like a godd strong engne i think...and it comes with the harness and MEFI controller forit, all for a good price...

Re: GM Ram JEt 350

What do you guys think about that Ram JET MOTOR, the more research i do, i like it more and more. Has anybody put one in a 3rd GEN. When it comes down to it, im either going with this one, OR IM gonna buy an L31 short block with the vortec heads and lt4 cam, i havent made up my mind. Depends on what kind of horsepower I can get from the L31.
If NOt that Ram JEt seems like it will work fine, its got the complete wiring harness and everything.
