so my friend swapped his 1991 305 tpi for a 1991 350 tpi and also dropped a 5 speed. He's got a "painless wiring harness" and everything seems to be working ok, except the car wont start. The fuel pump comes on, it cranks, we're getting spark, but the fuel injectors aren't coming on. We've used some starting fluid (i believe it was some kinda of mixture with ether) and it starts for a few seconds but then it shuts down. He just told me that the chip in the new computer came with a hypertech chip and its says "88 pt# 121 322".. so i looked it up on the hypertech website and the numbers matched for the computer and the car. We tried to get a code but the only code i got was for the vats module, so of course when we disconnect the vats module the code disappears.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanx

 

code for vats if im not mistaken it wont start if its not working otherwise its a bad chip seems this happens alot
