swapping CC QJET to Edelbrock 650

I own a 1983 Z28 Camaro L69 305 5.0 H.O. 5 speed with T-tops and lidded trunk. Came stock with fiberglass hood, dual snorkel intake, electric fan, and an emissions fan which is located under the right front fender with the hose running under the air cleaner which turns on when the car is turned off and usually runs for about 20 minutes.

My problem is while I was overseas, I let my car sit for about 4 yrs, when I got back I replaced the CC Qjet with another CC Qjet car ran like a raped ape....then all of a sudden one day my car just started losing horse power and speed, it was laboring to get up to 50mph. I found out that my cat was collapsed this also caused those heat tubes on the manifold to get holes burned in them and alot of those black hoses (approx 1/4 inch diameter) to also get damaged. I don't know how, but my HEI coils kept burning out.

I also noticed that my smog pump was siezed up and needed replacing along with those manifold heat tubes, my CC distributor, and more parts.

Anyway I recently made the swap to an Edelbrock performer manifold, Edelbrock 650 CFM carb with vacuum secondaries, Mallory HEI distributor, and a Holley external electrical fuel pump (it originally had a mechanical pump)

I hooked up everything car sounds and runs great!!

My main question is, how can I still get my electric fan to work off the sensor or for that matter to have all my guages including the tach work the way they did before the swap? Oh yeah I almost forgot, I think I also have a charging problem, it doesn't charge the battery the same, (usually I would read 15 to 16 volts when car is running now I get about 12 to 13).

I checked my alternator and regulator, all checked good, could it be because the computer is missing?

Any help or comments pro or con would be greatly appreciated
