Subframe connectors - an absolute must.

12-bolt or 9-inch rear end - to handle the power.

Aftermarket torque arm, lower control arms.

If you really make that much power, you'll probably need a roll bar if you expect to run it at a track.

How do you plan on getting that much power out of a TPI engine?

Re: v6 - 350tpi ( 500 hp ) HELP

I dont know. Some guy on Ebay builds them in PA. He makes them with 400-450 hp. I was going to see if i could get it up to 500. why would he be able to get it up to 500 hp? Sorry i dont know TO MUCH about motors. How much should the other things cost?
Without roll cage
----------
also what kind of gears in the rear should i get and tranny? I was told 350 turbo trans and .373 rear
----------
and some guy told me to weld the frame up more to make it stronger?

450 HP is pushing it for TPI. I'd want to know exactly what he's trying to sell. 500 HP would not be a simple, inexpensive upgrade. Nitrous is the easiest way to get there.

Tranny is pretty much your choice. If you want overdrive, the TH700 can be built up to handle 500 HP. That's about a $2000 proposition with a decent torque converter. The rear is much weaker - if you really put out 500 HP regularly, you should seriously consider a 12-bolt or 9-inch from Strange, Moser, etc. Again, that starts at around $2000. What gear ratio to go with is based on a combination of use, transmission, etc.

Pretty hard to "weld the frame up", since these cars don't really have a frame. I already mentioned subframe connectors. That's plenty for 500 HP. If you want to reduce weight, you can get a tubular front member, tubular a-arms, etc.

Re: v6 - 350tpi ( 500 hp ) HELP

Im not into the nitrous - Im not trying to race my car alot. Im more into the show car and i like the complete chrome look of the tpi motor. But i would also like to be able to race around town with the mustangs. How would i be able to tell what he is selling is really good or junk? If i go with 400-450hp can i stick with a stock posi rear and tranny? Im going to use it as a regular driver. Also do you know anyone that can make me a 350tpi engine in all chrome?

THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP SO FAR
