No serp. setup plese!
Hey guys I have a 305 TBI im swapping for a 350 carbed, and dont want to use the factory serpentine, all im turning it alt, w. pump, power steering. I would like a v-belt setup. Can I get one off a v6 from the junkyard and slap it on or what? whats the easiest and cheapest way?

Most people go from V-belt to serpentine because it's a superior system.
No, a V6 system won't work. Look for a small block V8 set-up in the junkyard. You're setting yourself up for more trouble, but hey, it's your car.

Ok, you know what your talking about 5.7kid, I will follow your reccomendation. I did a search and find the same results. You really help a lot on this board and I really appreciate it.

You're welcome to my crappy V-Belt system if you'll trade me your serp setup. I'll even throw in a new alt belt.
