Well after a year and half of collecting parts and building my engine, I finally dropped it in this weekend. It was great to actually see it outside of the garage. Only a few more parts and it should be ready!

Re: 350 swap
Probably should have listed everything:

3970010 high nickel block .020 over
Forged bottom half:
-Ross Forged pistons; 13.5:1
-Eagle forged I-beams
-1182 Forged crank
Moroso 7qt pan w/ windage tray
Melling HV pump
World Heads
-Stage 3 race ported
-2.02/1.60 valves
-Solid roller springs
-Titanium retainers
-Comp Cams Stud girdle
-Harland Sharp 1.6 Rockers
Lunati flat tappet cam; custom grind
Victor Jr. Intake
Holley 750 DP
-78 fronts
-80 rears

Backed it up with a built up TH-350 and a 3k stall converter which seems a little too small for this.

With the Victor Jr., you should have at least 4000 RPM stall.

13:1? What are you planning on burning in this beast?

I'll take a shot in the dark by saying he's gonna run race gas.

Re: 350 swap
I figured that stall was too small. I'll probably end up changing to a bigger stall over winter anyways. Yes, I'll be running 110 for now. Eventually I'd like to run E85.

The Quick Flow Technologies E85 750 CFM DP would be a good choice for that.

Re: 350 swap
That would have been my first choice, but I was also looking at the conversion kit they offer. That carb was a little out of my price range this year so hopefully next year I can.

You mean the metering blocks? I've got those, plus an alcohol base, plus Proform main body, plus 50cc accelerator pumps. Wish I would have just gotten the QFT E85 carb (but it wasn't available when I first started buying stuff).

Re: 350 swap
Yeah that's what most alcohol guys tell me. It's hell of a lot easier and quicker to just buy the carb. we'll see how things play out this year

Not only do you get a calibrated, set-up piece, you get a better piece. I basically have everything that carb has except the float bowls - their float bowls have sight windows instead of sight plugs - but I'll be hanged if I'm going to go out and spend even more money to get sight windows!
