Fuel System Pressure

I was thinking of swapping my LB9 for a GM Performance 350 Ram Jet or ZZ 350 and was wondering what the stock fuel system could support for ponies. The 305 was rated at 235 horse but would the factory fuel system have enough pressure to support 350 or 400 horse? Any opinions and/or solid number figures on fuel system pressure is greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

Re: Fuel System Pressure

I think the stock fuel system is inadequate for 400hp. But, you really only need a fuel pump upgrade to bring it up to par.

Look at the many aftermarket pumps available from wallbro, holley, etc. Get something in the 255 lph range. You can support 400hp with that pump.

It's not the pressure, the GM settings at 41-47 psi or so is adequate; the delivery volume is what is lacking. You can set your regulator in the high 40s low 50s psi and the volume of the above aftermarket pumps is fine.
