I bought an 85 Iroc and it has a carbed motor in it. The in says it was a tpi car. I have found a tpi motor, computer, wireing harness and trans out of a 92 bird with 82000 miles on it. I can gt it for 500 bucks and what to put the motor in. Hw much of a pain is it going to be to switch it all around?

 

Depends upon what was hacked to make it a carb car. The most complicated issues would be the in-tank fuel pump and changes to the harnesses between '85 and '92.

That no joke the man is a wealth of knowledge (I suspect he is the Internet, but I値l have to get back to you on that , but I知 kinda doing the same thing but this was a carbed v6 and I知 upping it to a v8 but I知 kinda torn as to if I should leave the v8 carbed, or is it really worth upping it to TPI? I really don稚 need that much power, I知 just using it to get back and forth to my GF house 50+ miles away, sadly I heard that this car gets almost the same mileage on the highway as my little ranger. the only thing that im conserned is that the firebird that i have is an auto, and i was hoping that some point i will upgrade it to an 700R4 because right now i have a th350
