2.8mpfi to carbed 350 fuel presure issuse
alright so heres the story i bought the car with no drivetrain i put in a 350 and carbed it the car originally came with the 2.8 injected motor. now i fully realize the presure coming from the stock pump is far too much but i am using it with a holley bypass style regulator to get eh presure down to where i seed it. the problem is when i start the car i have the presure i need but in a fairly quick amount of time the presure will drop 2-3 psi and then basically will drop down to nothing at all i looked at the gauge the other day after running the car for a couple hours and it was down to around 1.5 psi according to the gauge.so my question is this has any body else had the same prooblem? could it be the pump itself or more lickly filters and crap in the tank? any help is greatly appreciated
Mike
i have the pump wired to direct power at the moment with a toggle switch to bypass factory wiring that may have been causing the problem but that did not sem to help
