Swapping out Caprice engine
I have 93 chevy caprice with an 5.0 L/305 cu in LO3 Small-Block V8. I want to upgrade to a 5.7 L/350 cu in LT1 Small-Block V8. The 5.7 engine come from a 95 caprice. Do I have to swap out the rear and the transmission for the 95 too. I want to know before I purchase the engine

Engine: L92/LQ4 (both w/4" stroke)
Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
The '93 transmission is a 4L60 while the '95 is a 4L60E.
But, neither one is a 3rd gen f-body (and it doesn't sound like you're putting the engine in a '95 f-body).
