I'm currently running a 305, and i'm really wanting to swap over to another engine. I was thinking of a 350 but then i thought it might be possible to swap a 454. Just curious if anyone has swapped over to 454. I ripped my a/c out, so i have a bit more space. Just curious if anyone did this and might of had to move things or take out more things. Or is there another possible thing I could do? I was thinking of pulling more power and rather build my own engine since it'll be cheaper than crate. I'm just trying to figure what might be best to save for and swap for in my 89 rs. I'm wanting to go s/c no matter what with whatever engine i do get later. My ending goal i'd want to try to pull 600-800hp w/ 87-95 octane, no race fuel just trying to weave my options thats all. Thought it might be nice to contribute and see what the community of the forum might have to say for what my best options would be.

I have a 540 stuffed under the hood but externally, it's no bigger than a 454.

 

that is an engine bay and engine stall that was def done right and with attention to detail.
