305 to 350, TPI work on 350?
305 to 350, TPI work on 350?
I'm retiring my rusty '89 RS, which has a 350 TBI in good shape.
I want to put the 350 into my '88 IROC, which has
a smokey 305 with TPI. I like the TPI.
Is the TPI adaptable to the 350?
Thanks!
Chuck

Yes. Only differences between 305 TPI and 350 TPI are the knock sensor, injectors, and ECM tune.

305 TPI will bolt onto a 350 TBI longblock. The 350 TBI heads and cam will be lesser than a 350 TPI engine, but the 305 TPI will still work fine on a 350 longblock that was originally TBI, with the above changes.
