help with swap
I have pretty much everything out of the way. exhaust is removed but the headers are still installed. the belt system is still on im just going to remove it once the engine is pulled because I heard it was easier that way. all hoses to engine are off and engine harness besides one wire that goes to either the fuel pump or starter ( I cant get to it). I just need to remove the two motor mounts and the bell housing. Anything else you can think of? and are the bellhousing bolts easy to get to and will i have to drain the transmission fluid if im just removing the engine and not the transmission?
Thank you.

You don't need to drain the transmission if you're leaving it in.
You need to disconnect the torque converter from the flexplate (3 bolts).
The bellhousing bolts aren't particularly easy to get to.

Re: help with swap
If I were you it will be easier to remove the tranny and motor at the same time. That way its a good time to get most of that old tranny fluid out and do a filter and gasket change. It will cost about $10 for filter and gasket and $30 for fluid(kinda high) and priceless not have to mess with the top 3 bellhousing bolts.
