Aftermarket Heads
Hi all,
I just noticed last night that there are (2) "sensors", one in each head between the left most spark plug and the second one (when looking at the exhaust side of the head) in on my OE 305 TPI heads. I checked the manual to see what they were, and the one on the RH side is the cooling fan switch, and the one on the LH side is the High Temp. Light switch.
I have Canfield heads on the new motor, and they do not have holes for these sensors. Is this typical for aftermarket heads? Do any of the aftermarket heads have provisions for these switches? What is the work a round for not having these sensors, is there one?

Re: Aftermarket Heads
One is the switch for the fan, one is for the temp guage. If there are none in the heads (which seems odd to me, most aftermarket heads do have them) then put them in the intake manifold.
