305tbi to ???

Hey guys new to the forum but i have a 1991 camaro with a 305tbi 5spd manual and i want to swap in a 350 but im kinda stumped at what to do. Im pretty set on getting an lt1 from a corvette cause there is a guy i know that has a garage full of them and i can get one for a good price but when i do the swap i wont have that much time to do it cause im in highschool and it is my daily driver and ive looked at the splicing and fuel line stuff for the lt1 and it looks like itll take awhile so im thinking of just making it carbd and going that route. Which would be the easiest and quickest to do. All opinoins are greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

If you want a carb'd engine, put in a Gen I 350 and put a carb on it.

If you want an LT1, put in an LT1 and keep it LT1. Converting an LT1 to carb is more expensive and a lot more work than rewiring for the PCM.

There are a couple of stickies in the top section of this forum about the swap.

Fuel isn't too complicated. Wiring isn't as bad as people think, an aftermarket stereo installation can be just as bad or worse. Power steering is a snap. AC is a bit of an issue.

Read through the information in the stickies.
