engine swap 3.1 tbi to carb 305

i have a 92 camaro rs found out that cant do much to engine to boost power. can change the cam and have heads ported but i beleave the engine cant hanel the upgrade. so i decided to swap out the old for the new. my 1st question is will my t5 handel the biger engine. 2nd question is what distributor should i use sence im removing the ECM. 3rd question is the motor mounts i should be able to move them forard and not have to make make mods to them i think. and my last question is there a wiring kit to make it easy for me to hook up the conponatns that are left like altanatior and temp gauses and stuff like that

Wouldn't waste my time with swapping a 305 when swapping in a 350 is the same trouble and expense. There are a ton of stickies & tech articles on swaps - do a search.

I agree. But if you do decide to go with a 305 keep in mind that pretty much everything will swap over to a 350 if you decide to get one eventually

jomigjr, welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

No, your V6 T5 will not handle a V8. A V8 T5 can barely handle a V8.

Read the sticky in the top section of this forum for the basics on the V6 to V8 swap.
