LT1 or 305 tbi.
Hi i am brand new to the site, and after doin some snooping around i guess im looking for some tailor made answers for my issues. I just came into possession of an 87 Camaro LT with a stock lg4, which imo is pretty weak. Also given that i know next to nothing about carbs (all my cars have been efi), and im looking for some year round drivability i was going to swap in a tbi since it seems easier than tpi, and to open it up some i was going to completely redo my exhaust front front to back, install an electric fan and some other small stuff here and there. I just came across a 95 port injected 350 which i can only assume to be an lt1, my question being, should i stick with my original plans or look into the LT1. What will be more economical, Im pretty new to engine swaps and stuff but i figure the issue comes in with the wiring for the most part. please i really need some help!!!!!

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
The LT1 will have all the driveability and economy of the TBI, with about twice the power. You need more than just the engine, you need the harness and PCM (computer).
The swap details are covered in the LT1 sticky in the top section of this forum.
