V4 front wheel to V6 rear wheel
Ok so i figure ill ask around and see if anyone even thinks its possible.
i currently have a 98 zx2 escort. my friends and me have been toying with the idea of dropping in a v6 and converting this car to rear wheel. the project has been dub'd firefly however im curious if anyone even thinks this could be possible.
i do understand i will for sure have to:
-custom motor mounts/redoing front frame just to mount the motor
-custom drive shaft
-custom mounting of a rearend
-reinforcing the frame
-custom steering configuration
and the maybes:
-moving the firewall back up to 2feet
-moving the coupe to a two seater
i know that this would be something of a several year project im just curious if anyone has any ideas if this is even possible, or have seen something similiar done.
thanks

Re: V4 front wheel to V6 rear wheel
You're not too far off what I'm doing to my '95 Probe GT, but I decided the best solution was to just use the entire floorpan from a '94-'02 f-car, giving a torque arm rear suspension, which is what all the '79-'04 Mustang guys are converting to. I'm sure the moderator is going to close this thread because it's not related to third gen f-cars, but you can PM me.
