How to remove pin from c100 bulkhead connector(driver side firewall)

I googled and searched here, and I find threads that it can be done, but nothing tells me exactly how. I have tried using a small screwdriver to push in the tang - can't really see it because of the black goo. The pin feels loose now but it will not come out.

Re: How to remove pin from c100 bulkhead connector(driver side firewall)

the connector has 2 halves, one under-dash, one underhood. They're held together by 1 or 2 small bolt(s). I've played with so many cars I forget which the third gen is, but the rest of this is right. I think it's a 5.5mm socket you need, which means a 1/4" ratchet and extension. I think the socket goes to the underhood half, but again, I'm not clear, I'm going by memory, I haven't done a third gen in nearly a year now.

I know how to remove the harness - I want to remove one of the pins or mail spade connectors(or terminal) from the harness plug that plugs into the firewall/bulkhead big connector.

I am using an older harness on a newer car and the older harness doesn't have a fuel pump wire in the right spot. I wanted to take the male pin out of another harness and put it in this one without mangling either one

I don't know if you still needed this info or not but if you still need to swap pins in the c100 use some PB blaster and a pick of some sort to remove the weather sealant (tar like junk). There is a locking device (white strip of plastic or blue if its on the lighting side of the harness) that needs to be pulled from the side of the bulkhead. Then you need to push the tab on the pin itself with a small screwdriver to remove it.
