2.8 to tbi

i posted a question a little while ago about a dash harness problem i was having during my swap and threw u guys i was able to figure out my harness was indeed dif from the 2.8 to the tbi............ so today i found an 88 tbi car in the yard and got the rite harness and put it in. after i put it in i powered up the harness to make sure everything worked and i have no fuel pump prime or even any power back at the pump???? now just to clear a few things up the car i got the dash harness out of had vats and mine didnt, and also the engine harness is just laying on the mtr but i did make sure all the grounds were grnded in harness. im pretty sure the comp uses signal from distribuator to run pump but i cant see why that would affect the prime circuit?? can vats be disabling the pump? am i just over looking sumthing? could it be becuz the outside harness isnt all hooked up?also the outside harness is from an 88 ta could it be that? i know this is a crazy post but if u read this, after ur done shaking ur head thinkin this kid is crazy lol let me know what u think????
