2.8 to 305 tach help!
So I bought a 1989 RS originally a 2.8/5 speed replaced with 305 v8 from a 1984. I've got a coil-in-cap distributor wired up seemingly correctly under the hood. Only thing is, my tach is constantly slammed out at max. It's got a full IROC interior including the instrument cluster.. anyone encountered this before? edit: Oh yeah it has a 4bbl Edelbrock, and stock intake. The distributor is non-cc btw
