Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: Dana 60
Anyone using the ZZ4?
I was curious if anyone else is using the ZZ4 right now. What carb are u useing? Do u have any times? What are ur mods? Things I should expect. I am planning on swapping a ZZ4 in my car and converting to carb with a Speed Demon 750cfm vac, secondary. Also have to get a holley 7psi fuel pump with a Mallory return line FPR. Sound good so far?

A lot of people are using the ZZ4, although I'm not one of them
The carb you're talking about sounds fine. You should be able to use the TBI in-tank fuel pump and just add the regulator like you say. I've heard people talk about a temp sensor fitting size problem (smaller on ZZ4 than stock).
If you're anywhere near sea level, you should be in the 13's if everything else is up to snuff.

57 Bel Air, my 1st car. Currently 396 .030 over, Weiand Action+, Edelbrock 1901 Q-Jet, Jacobs Omnipack, 1-3/4" headers, TH400 w/TCI Sat Night Special conv & shift kit, 3.08 10-bolt, AMSOIL syn lubes bumper-to-bumper. Best 15.1 @ 5800' Bandimere. Daily driver while Camaro was being put together.
