Is this engine swap Emissions Legal?
I want to eventually swap my 305 TBI in my RS for a 350 thats emissions legal. This is what i was thinking....get the SDPC 350HO TBI/TPI w/Alum Heads crate engine........
http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?act...d=689&pid=1061
and get the Accel Street Ram (anyone suggest something different?) Would this pass and what else would i need to get/worry about? This would be my first engine swap (wont be for quite awhile though) so i have no clue what im doing.....though i will probably have help.....let me get your input/feedback. Thanks

sounds pretty much like it would be emmisions legal to me- does the super ram have a carb number? if it does, them for sure it is, other wise, if you dont have visual inspections, sure it is

I THINK it said on the Accel webpage that the SuperRam isnt street legal........and the StreetRam is legal in 49 states....or it could be the SuperRam is legal in 49 states and the StreetRam is legal in 50 states....i'll have to check on that....but isnt the StreetRam just a beefed up stock TPI system? Anyways...this probably wont happen for another year or so......so i have plenty of time to plan.....just wanted to get everyones feedback......see if there were any better choices........where money IS a concern heh (college student)

The Super Ram is 50 state legal. The main thing to watch out for in an engine is the cam. If you have too much lobe separation,
you won't pass smog. The only other thing you might run into is that some heads including some G M heads don't have provision for egr. If that is the case,
hook up a Corvette style egr.
