headers?

im swappin in a 96 impalla ss motor into my 89 camaro. anyone know what kind of headers would fit the best for this swap??

3rd gen V8 headers. Were you thinking of short or long tube?

Arent the heads of the LT1's different though then the ones than the other ones

The bigger primary tube headers tend to fit around the LT1 ports. 1-3/4" are best for this purpose. Check with TGO member Dyno Don about his headers.

I think that only applies to LT1 aluminum heads... Iron heads I don't think got the D-ports. I could be wrong on that though.

Either way... the LT1 uses a regular SBC header like any 3rdgen V8 would.
